Senior MySQL DBA

Job Description

  • Manage, monitor, and maintain MySQL databases in production and non-production environments.
  • Perform backup, recovery, replication, high availability, and performance tuning activities.
  • Implement and automate regular DBA tasks using SQL scripts or automation tools.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex database issues efficiently with minimal downtime.
  • Collaborate with development teams for query optimization and database design improvements.
  • Support and manage cloud-based MySQL database solutions including AWS RDS and Azure Database for MySQL.

Desired Skills

    • In-depth knowledge of MySQL internals, performance tuning, and query optimization.
    • Strong experience with backup & recovery strategies, replication, clustering, and high availability solutions.
    • Hands-on experience with AWS RDS MySQL or Azure Database for MySQL.
    • Proficiency in SQL scripting, Linux, and automation.
    • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
    • MySQL or cloud database certifications are preferred.
